5 Ways to Read the Bible

February is finally here! How are you doing on your New Year’s Resolutions? If one of them was to read the Bible more then today we are giving you 5 ways to help make it happen!

Listen, Watch, Share

I’ve been loving going through James with Jon Jorgenson. It’s a great way to get started on studying parts of the Bible if you are not ready to go alone and a great way to top up your reading each week!

You Version App

There are some great bible plans on here. If you need something to help you focus the day then try reflecting on the VOTD or try this Identity Series Devotional Plan

Friend Ping-Pong

With a friend take it in turns to read a verse a day share with each other prayer or thought that comes from it. Or have a whats app group where you all read the same verse each day and share your thoughts on it

Nailed it!

Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads

Take one verse, and do the SOAP method below. Then write it on post-it notes and put it in places you will see it. Take time each day to memorise it. You could put it to a tune, that always helps. Once you’ve remembered it, try with another verse!

SOAP & Write

As you know I love a good journal session and the SOAP acronym has always been helpful. These two clips below are great short explanations of how to use it.
